Cochran and Rhea letter, 1805.

A letter submitted to Governor de Grand-Pré by "Cochran and Rhea" reporting that an agreement was reached in a disputed debt owed by Benjamin Kimball. The letter is accompanied by the court proceedings which state the conditions of the settlement. The settlement includes the immediate sale of four slaves, with the proceeds applied to the debt.
